Ok - so I'm really ahead of the game with our Save the Dates! Love how these turned out! I have all the parts ready. Now I just have to make 100 of them! BUT I have plenty of time!
Brown kraft tags are from barnridgeblessings on Ebay.
Stamp was made by www.terbearco.etsy.com
Vintage wedding image from www.CandyConnection22.etsy.com
Scrapping paper, ribbon and stamps were from Michael's on Staten Island.
Yay! I am so proud of myself. It was probably cheaper to order them somewhere - but this is so much fun!
They're about 6 inches long or so, and will fit into a regular envelope, I hope!

Recycled Crayons - Gifts for my students
As an art teacher, I ended up with lot's of little crayon bits and bobs this year. And from experience, I've learned that children do not like to use these. There's nothing like a brand new crayon with that beautiful point. They Crayola sharpner helps bring them back to life, but it's still never the same.
I purchased two mini muffin pans on ebay and baked them away! One is in ther shape of stars and the other just has circles.
I put them in little baggies with some sequins and added a label. I'm going to give them to all the students on their birthdays! Yay!

New Finds - All On The Way

The above dollies are Ebay finds.
6 vintage chenille ornaments found on http://www.carriejoelle.etsy.com/
Cute dolly from http://www.retrokitsch.etsy.com/ I'm starting to plan my wedding - so I'm buying as much as I can now. Does that make any sense??? I'm sure there's some logic behind it! (c;
BTW - My finger is pretty much the same. It's still very tingly and I have not done any guitar playing. My piano playing seems ok for 9 fingers, but I lost my voice yesterday and today! So no singing either for me! (I teach art and music - so lot's of this is important to me) Fire me now!

A match made in heaven...
So, two weeks after I break my finger and we get engaged, William had to watch his grandma because his parents had to go to a party. She was about to fall, so he flewacross the room like Superman to catch her.
He caught her. She's fine. But he managed to jam his right pinky finger into the wall. It's bruised black and blue. And all bandaged up.
Now I am a little embarrassed to go out with him. What a bunch of fools we are going out with bandaged hands! LOL J/k
Definitely a match made in heaven!

It’s Getting Better All the Time!
The good news is my finger will heal itself. So, no surgery or anything like that! The doctor drilled two little holes in my finger nail to train all the fluids. I know - drilling holes in finger nails sounds like torture - Right?? Wrong!! There's nothing in your finger nails to sense pain, so it was a piece of cake.
So, all I have to do is rub a little bacitracin on the boo boo, wrap with a bandaid, wear the plastic splint finger thingy, and I'm good to go. So good, I'll be back at work tomorrow! The nail is exposed at the top of the splint, so I wrapped some more tape around it. Who wants to look at that gross mess, anyway??? Definitely not my students.
Back to the doc in two weeks.
Here's a pic. You can tell I'm feeling better. I picked a nice lively backdrop for the photo shoot!

Iced Twice!
We're engaged! Woo Hoo!
BUT - let me start off by telling you about my whole day. I arrived at work early this morning - parked my car, got out of my car, proceded to close the door, with my left pointer finger in it. I don't really remember how it exactly happened, but the door closed completely, and was locked with my finger in it. Stpid ass me tried to pull my finger out. Luckily I still had the keys in my right hand. It didn't hurt that bad. I took off my cheapo black gloves to look. And there was the blood... And then I ran...
I ran 2 blocks to work, saw the security guard, the wonderful nurse and everyone else who took care of me. I am not going into too much details now, but my finger was gross. I was hysterical to say the least. The secretary drove me to th emergency room and my parents met me there. I could not get in touch with Bill because cell phone service has been suck ass.
We were there for 3 hours. It turns out I fractured my finger and need to see a hand surgeon on Monday. F-ing A! It's not like I play the guitar, or the piano, or crochet, or sew, or do anything with my left hand right????
So, Bill get's to my house at 4:00 - he had no idea. I'm laying on the couch, in my sweats. He asks me if I needed anything - soda, tea, soup and I say no thank you. He goes to the kitchen and comes back and says - "I know how to make your finger feel better" And he get's down on bended knee and the rest is history! I said yes, of course! He iced my boo boo LOL! Could a proposal story get any better than this???
Love you Bill! Marry me Bill! And to think today was Leap Year - the only day where a gal could propose, and if the man said no, he would be subject to a fine. My hand looks crusty in the pic - I don't know why - my nails are not chipped like that. Well - maybe my pointer finger!
